A new list of capital spend by Northumberland County Council has been issued through an FOI following the announcement that all of the Counties spend needs to cut back and rescheduled until cash arrives from Government to help the spend, spend, spend Tories waste more on Ponteland and Morpeth while failing to deliver services Cramlington people want.
The infighting between the Ultra-right wing Morpeth Tories from County Hall and the Cramlington Conservatives which came to light following the bullying accusations issued by the then Chief Executive of Northumberland County Council Mrs Daljit Lally and which led to the resignation of Cramlington Conservative Clr Wayne Daley from his post as Deputy leader to the eventually blackened reputationally Cllr Peter Jackson, who was forced from office through a revolt by Cramlington Conservatives backed by Labour and Independent Councillors.
The twists and turns of Local Politics at County Hall have seen the exposure of illegal antics and spending exposed by Cllr Jackson in the mainstream press recently and the crushing of capital spend and supported services being delivered in Cramlington as £millions are poured into other towns all to Cramlingtons detriment.
Cramlington just like other working class towns in Northumberland has been plagued by the blight caused by the Conservative Government's economic crisis and shockingly poor handling to ensure investors profited from the ravages Covid brought to families. The residents of Cramlington have needed just as much help as other Towns but find themselves left behind through the splits created at County Hall to ensure Morpeth and Ponteland are fully cosseted and protected at a massive cost to Cramlingtons population.
The splits have been so bad that Councillor Swinburn of Cramlington had to go to the press to get information regarding the time scales for roadworks affecting residents as the splits in his party stopped him being able to get that info from the Council run by the party he stands for.
A list has been issued following the release of a Freedom of Information request to the Council which looks at capital spend, two areas look high as they have received direct cash from Government in the form of ‘Levelling up Money’, Blyth, which includes the River Blyth Basin schemes where cash has been poured into an education centre in the Port of Blyth a new deep water dock on the Cambois side of the River Blyth, a wire making factory and the now failed by the Tories land preparation for ‘British Volt’ and Ashington where the spend from Government on a new station project has been bundled into the FOI’s list of spend on towns, an outrageous attempt to cover up the massive and out of proportion Council spend in Ponteland and Morpeth.
The ‘British Volt’ project in the River Blyth basin has failed as the Conservative Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak has decided to support a GigaFactory in Somerset being set up by the Indian company TATA where his billionaire mother in law worked as a top engineer leaving Cambois in the doldrums and Morpeth Tories running around trying to buy back the site at rumoured to be extortionate cost to the Council which will pressurise capital spend on Cramlington further.
But all of this spin via Northumberland’s Ultra Right wingers from Morpeth should not distract readers from the knowledge that Cramlington is now one of the nations ‘left behind towns by the Tories’ yet does not sit in the list for 10 year funding from the Tory Government.
It just shows what the ‘REVOLTING TORIES’ have done to bring Cramlington down.
