Is the Conservatives fixation against the Councils International partnership with the NHS the real reason behind the closure of Late Night Pharmacies in Blyth and Cramlington?

With Councillor Oliver of Corbridge return to running loose and telling anyone who can be bothered to listen including readers of Hexham's local newspaper that Northumberland County Council needs to report officers, (and presumably Councillors) to the Police over what have been labeled 'unlawful' dealings with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation trust on international heath dealings, following the Council being caught out in a report from their nationally appointed external auditor.

Councillor Oliver was the Councils top Councillor bod on finance when Northumberland Conservatives went all-out to sign up to this money spinning trade deal. His boss at the time Councillor, lothario and busy farmer Peter Jackson released a number of press releases and photos of himself and his smiling team signing off the deal with NHS executives in attendance. The profits from this trade was to be used to bolster health programs in Northumberland.

For those with short memories, Councillor Oliver was the finance guru who was exposed by the press for his family's non-payment of business rates and one should ask why he wants the Police involved with the dealing of his party and Councillor Jackson in particular? when he hasn't made any known noise about reporting himself for potential wrong doings under the Local Government Acts 1972?.

The Council's Health and Wellbeing board is to discuss the loss of pharmacies which will damage people's needs in rural areas and the early closure of others in Cramlington and Blyth the Counties two largest Towns.

Those closures which will hit people badly who need out of hours services and can't always make contact with their GP is down to the lack of finance the Council and the various factions of the NHS can put into these third party services.

The Council who seem reluctant to support health and are miles away from helping many families cope through the mess social services is in due to lack of financial input could have used any profits made from international trading to support these struggling services yet through what appears to be blatant personal attacks against officers they had fallen out with they have had their partnership with the NHS soured and declared unlawful instead of working towards legalizing it through the Government's various trade and industry mechanisms.

Is it spite or is it simply pathetic financial management that is leaving people in need struggling?
