The do as I say and not as I do culture that's probably a feature of teaching at the new centre being built in the middle of Blyth’s Marketplace was confirmed by the Councillor for South Beach in Blyth, Daniel Carr.
Not unlike the Leadership team from County Hall in Morpeth the adopted culture of ‘follow me I look gorgeous’ but deliver nothing outside of the former Caste Morpeth area, Councillor Carr has certainly been indoctrinated by the ‘malignant tory pox’ and is following the symptoms down to the letter.
Four days prior to attacking Councillors at the Blyth and Ashington area committee Daniel Carr denied being a member of the administrative party at County Hall in fact he told people out on his social media who questioned him about the destruction of Blyth Town centre that they must contact the Towns Labour councillors as he does not represent people in Blyth Town Centre or is it just those who resent his parties annihilation of the heart of their Town, Blyth in Northumberland?.
His complete and utter denial and his ‘washing of hands’ statements confirm what he has been accused of as he has been photographed on a number of occasions supporting his parties construction and acceptance of the huge expense of a dual carriageway from his home in South Beach up to Cramlington where the county council owned Manor Walks shopping centre is sited and is home to a very impressive mall full of shops of all kinds, it's the ‘Grand Bazar of Northumberland’ with satellites in Morpeth and Ponteland leaving the rest of the Council to struggle.
The questions from members of the public were forthcoming as the consultation returns surrounding the supposed levelling up of Blyth included a cinema and a hotel to bring life back into the Blyth’s heart then after the consultations closure the nasty party decided to buy the Keelrow shopping centre in Blyth from the Duke of Northumberland at an undisclosed sum and demolish it introducing the idea of an Academy in its place leaving Blyth’s plans from an expected levelling up exercise into a shortage of retail choice and the promised growth of jobs disappearing from the County Hall agenda.
Daniel Carr may feel safe and sleep well in the knowledge that his membership of the administration of County Hall is forcing people to follow his voice but using the vernacular his attitude of ‘its got nowt to do wi me pal’ hasn’t gone down well across Northumberland’s largest Town and the change to levelling down instead of levelling up will certainly weigh heavily on his shoulders as time moves on.
