Real Northumberland Murky: How wrong can you be? We codgers have just been corrected by Nadine Dorries?

As our regular readers know we codgers have described the ‘Gang’ who run the Tory Party in Northumberland through its chairperson, Morpeth’s own Councillor Richard Wearmouth as the ‘Morpeth Mob’ on several occasions.

Following a press release from the Independent newspaper late last week reporting on a statement issued in a book from the Conservatives former darling, Nadine Dorries who describes the happenings at Westminster by a National Tory Nasty Party Group known as ‘The Movement’.

The report in the Independent states that the Conservatives have been controlled for 20 years by a cabal known as ‘The Movement’.

That cabal’s arm locally we wrongly named as the Morpeth Mob, our counterparts from the North of the County the Northumberland Murky Blogspot have named it the ‘Morpeth Mafia’ and I expect they too will correct things in the near future and we hope that when that's done the Conservatives will begin to treat their own members a smidgen better than they treat members of the opposition.

We will try to explain the Movements blockages to let their own members in Northumberland Conservatives know they are under their control.

We will begin our look at the attacks on Cramlington Conservative Councillors who would not agree to get involved with the Movements ongoing savagery and their use of people you wouldn’t want your daughter to marry to terrorise those internally who opposed their methods.

The Movement didn’t use a Dr No as reported by Nadine Dorries they used a thug they had control over firstly to attack through their misogynistic beliefs, a female Councillor, one Christine Dunbar.

Their terror tactics included visual weedkiller attacks at a sports field close to her home where it was said on local social media that she often passed by.

She toughed it out but eventually when the matter was discussed more openly her health suffered greatly. Conservative or not she did not deserve the treatment she received, but the Movement didn’t appear to open up an investigation by the Council into these dreadful personal attacks on an elected member of the same party.

Another hit on a Cramlington Councillor was the complete blanking of information that elected members of Council should expect to receive immediately to enable them to signpost matters and guide dates when certain work will be undertaken, that IS one of the prime jobs of a local councillor. The Movement stopped this Councillor, Mark Swinburn in his tracks.

A very frustrated Conservative Councillor Swinburn posed his questions through the press but still didn’t receive the answers he derived and needed.

This treatment of a Councillor is in a similar vein to posting dog Movement debris through his door, and that has happened to other Councillors!

We have posted his press appeals at the foot of this article and you will see how cut off from help a member of the Conservative Party can be when the tentacles of a cabal decide you're not on their team, particularly as this Councillor began his news articles by defending the Council's position on Highways repairs. Then matters deteriorated rapidly and the Council did not help him get information from other agencies they are partnered with.

The Movement’s net attack is currently underway against its former Deputy Leader who fell out with the movement over its treatment of Council Officers.

He, Councillor Wayne Daley is now openly complaining that he wasn’t told about a massive highways alteration which will affect those living in the ward he represents, Cramlington North and that people in his area have not been consulted on the issues.

This tale started with Blyth Tories, that's the Town next door to Cramlington, seeking answers to the massive traffic problems suffered by residents of the town each and every day.

The local MP, lives near the highway that become embroiled in a localised name change as its seen as the catalyst to ruin Blyth Town centre and deliver shoppers directly to Cramlington Manor Walks in the heart of the new constituency of Cramlington with Killingworth, two 1960’s Northumberland new towns with similar problems. We believe from local social media that the current Blyth Valley MP has been chosen by the movement to run for that seat.

But back to the cutting off of a former partner, Cllr Wayne Daley by the Movement once he showed the bottle to break away!

The bullying of Council officers was the trigger to set the Cramlington Conservatives (all except the Alnwick based Barry Flux) away from the clutches of the movement. But coincidentally a Movement stalwart, Cllr John Riddle, rich farmer and cabinet member for local services had started an inspection through new technology of South East Northumberland’s main arterial highway the A189 to see why so many serious and fatal accidents occurred between Cramlington and North Tyneside, just a few short weeks before Cllr. Wayne Daley resigned his post as deputy leader in disgust at the way the County Council was slipping into anarchy with a divide between Officers and the Movement clouding all issues and stifling progress.

The reports to close the slip roads to ensure Blyth shoppers aren’t tempted to drive on to Killingworth or Newcastle began with reports on how to stop or at least curtail the numbers of fatal and serious accidents at this spot.

The reopening of the Northumberland rail line at its newly built station at South Beach has been used by the movement and their followers to redesign traffic movements in the Southern part of the Counties largest town Blyth, with the construction of a better and faster highway out of town and to attract Cramlington residents to use the Northumberland line when it opens next year.

Consultations have gone on with Blyth residents on a number of occasions and reports have been passed back to Cabinet at County Hall in Morpeth with the press front and centre in the release of information regarding this huge spend of public cash.

AS early as 2015 the County Council began its studies into the alteration of its new relief roads, a major public petition was run during 2016 the County Council issued the changes to their local plan to encompass the changes during 2019 taking in the reports from Cllr Riddles surveys during its many amendments and now a County-wide consultation into the changes is underway until December 11th 2023.

Yet through all of this the Movement have managed to keep Cramlington Conservatives out of their plans and Councillor Daley is now seeking to keep dangerous slip roads open for his residents to run the gauntlet at every day, and facing up to the movement in the press.

We don’t think he will stop them and until there’s a change of administration at County Hall things will only get worse as the secret council run by secret people keep others silent through secrecy.
