Conservatives abandon villages and country towns in favour of second home museums, supporting calendar photographers over rural living?

The disclosure that Conservative policy is meeting at the apex in another attack supporting investors over rural families.

The levelling up lies and breach of faith from the Conservatives in office is a kick in the teeth for those who wish to revive country living by bringing their families and modern businesses into the countryside which would save village life, rescue schools from closure and allow the retention of population and services not required by second home owners but are essential for those who are toughing it out living in the homes their parents did and enjoying country living understanding the difference between wants and needs.

The policies fully supported by the Tories in Westminster which are the most damaging are the wish to cancel all new homes from being developed in the Countryside and the abandonment of high speed broadband across rural environs. Both policies coming together will ruin rural living over the next decade.

Living, working and learning in the countryside is connected with many of the benefits of rural living, and while you don’t necessarily have to go out of the city to find some sunshine and green spaces, head out to green rural surroundings and you’ll definitely find and feel many more benefits  As for specifics, immersing yourself in a beautiful, natural environment is good for everything, from improving your short term memory, to lowering your blood pressure.  It may even make you feel more creative!

That creativity is being buried under draconian policy changes that defy all logic and the need to save villages by bringing in new people living in homes that are affordable and is the only way to save rural villages from the eternal chocolate box destruction of life that is currently strangling a lifestyle enjoyed by many for decades. Labour's policy of reviving the rural high speed broadband program and developing more affordable homes in the Countryside to benefit society as a whole.

Northumberland conservatives from the very secretive County Council have told everyone they have cured the ‘rural drain’ by deciding to charge ‘second home’ owners double the highest Council tax in Britain they have just set and expect that will free up homes in the Countryside.

Professional estate agents and property managers have informed them that their ploy is and will be an abject failure and will only force up AirBNB costs and change shorthold tenancies for the worse. We like to hope that the secretive Conservatives have a plan to supply more homes to help the homeless their policy changes will create as they certainly won’t be delivering proper essential services in the countryside any time soon!
