Busted Flush Leader offers no help to those in need and still has unplanned cuts to pour fuel into the flames.

In our weekly search on social media of Tories and workers for the County Council we codgers are seeing a dangerous change of behaviour and rhetoric as the coffers at county hall are draining away even more rapidly than sewage is filling our rivers.

The Leader of Council has condemned the change to the Winter Fuel Allowance in the regional press but unlike other council leaders across the north east who have organised funds to help ease this potential crisis particularly as he is in charge of an area sitting above 55 degrees north Councillor Glen Sanderson has offered nothing from the council to bridge the gap and placed the assistance for people unfairly in the laps of local charities.

This goes to show that the last seven years of unrequited glamour projects and the pouring of cash in and around ‘Gadgy Land’ (pronounced Gajjy), centered on the former Castle Morpeth District has failed the residents of Northumberland in all other areas and the new whispers from workers and staff that terror has struck the hearts of those gadgies in charge and they are desperately calling in the few home workers and closing offices countywide in order to fill about one fifth of County Hall to stop Labour reviving their plans to move to a much smaller office to an area where jobs for the Council may help those in need by spreading Castle Morpeth’s wealth outside of the Ponteland corridor.

The Council who have spent £Millions on modernising about a third of County Hall and even more £Millions making workers and staff redundant despite charging residents the highest rate of Council Tax in England have failed to recognise that Councils may have a role to play in society beyond the Viv Nicholson habits of Spend,Spend,Spend by the Council's secret cabinet with most of that spend on spin. 

It now appears that the Leader, in his panic and his well publicised poor profits from his farming activities this year, is also papering over the cracks in the Council’s accounts and its huge debts caused by his bad financial management and Glamour Project ignorance, he is now  ordering all spend to be put through a faceless and extremely expensive BEST Board? (it's not my fault pal it's the BEST Board?) will be spun out regularly by his AI team! As he has hardly any humans left to force expensively out of the door. Therefore it is now recognised we now have a Leader of Council worrying about his crops failing whilst tens of millions of pounds of unidentified cuts sit in his Councils budget books with no plan to deliver those cuts other than to bring in a Board to hide behind.

A social media wag has asked the public not to get excited if they don’t get a reply to any telephone requests made to the Council as if she has to apply for a new pen to take down your details, she would like to remind the public that the faceless BESTies only meet every six weeks so a little backlog may exist before your annoyance can be recorded correctly.

In order to slow down the final collapse of Northumberland County Council,the Council is ordering a ‘Pen and Paper Amnesty’ and checks will be made by massively highly paid consultants known as BEST inspectors to make sure staff write on both sides of paper and along the unprinted margins of Council reports that the conservative administrations members don’t bother to read, so the report that suggests the Council tries to help its residents like all the other North-East Councils must have been scribbled on so much that the Leader of Northumberland County Council missed it and is forcing costs to be shouldered by third sector partners whom his administration hasn’t helped since 2017. 

Under this Leader’s control he has said “the Council is taking a proactive approach by guiding you when you're in greatest need” to partners?. Propathetic surely?.
